First time surfing.

The surfing trip the Blazer Learning took place at Zuma Beach on August 9th. It was the first time many of us went surfing. It was a bit of a struggle getting the wetsuit on, the parents of other students were helping everyone put them on. Jeff was our teacher for the day and told us that the first lesson is always on land. We had to learn everything from holding the surf board, to paddling, and when to catch a wave. But once we got in the water, it was a whole different story. Our lesson turned out to be much easier said than done. The waves would push our surf boards away and ocassionally dragged us with them too... It was a bit embarrassing falling everytime I tried to stand on the surf board because I'd fall all the time. Later on in the day, a couple of dolphins were swimming with us. I personally decided to get out of the water and observe from a distance just to be safe. Once the day was about to end, many of us didn't want to leave. I love the beach so I wanted to stay there longer. It was fun for my first time surfing. I'd definetly want to try it again, and I recommend it to those who haven't tried it.

P.S.

Word of warning:

If it's your first time surfing, chances are that you'll
be sore for a couple of days. I know I was.
