Blazer's Breakfast

Blazer's had a great breakfast on March which has been one of our busiest months so far. We had great healthy food and snacks. Everybody was happy. We had a great honor having Mike Wilson #85 from the San Francisco 49ers at our breakfast.

BLUES FOR CENTRAL AVENUE

The Blazer's youth had a night out to the theater to watch the play "Blues for Central Ave" on March 6. The youth enjoyed the music and educational story about Central Ave. I was the only parent there because they only allowed one. It was a very interesting story.

Blazer Family Dinner

All Blazer's parents with students enrolled at the center went to May's Cantonese Restaurant and the veggie chow-mein was..... the bomb! It was so delicious that I took some home. This gathering was part of Blazers efforts to empower our parents to recognize common issues and share responsibilities individually and collectively.

They are learing to use the internet, type documents and to use software and the programs online. We really want to give a special Thanks to a few of our primary tech sponsors: IBM, AT&T and the California Consumer Protection Foundation (CCPF). Their support continues to help our tech program provide quality programs, trainings and tech access in the community.

Piano, too?

With the end of the year quickly approaching we had both our end of the year celebration, and a piano recital for the students who have been taking classes with Bruce Howard. Mr. Howard has been teaching classes for the past several months at the center. The parents brought the food, the students had a blast and we look forward to getting back to work in the new year.

We had eggs, fruit smoothies, potatoes, oatmeal, fruit, turkey sausage.....it was delicious!!! We plan on having another get together in the next few months. If you didnt get an invite, be sure and email us so we have your contact information.
